We have an auditorium where we can host presentations, lectures and fun activities! THE ROLE We are looking for an Engineering Lead to be part of Farfetch Platform Solutions Engineering Team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will have the opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced environment by leading key development aspects of our platform. WHAT YOU?LL DO - Push for roadmap initiatives ensuring delivery dates and supporting your teams - Assure the team?s alignment to general backend area guidelines, processes and definitions - Take part in defining conversations, understanding the needs and preparing them to be discussed with the team for solution creation - Spike solutions, document and break down initiatives for implementation planning coordinated with product owners and other teams - Work with other FARFETCH teams on shared developments, coordinating operations on Farfetch Platform Solutions end - Assure your team?s health by holding development conversations, understanding people?s status, ways to move forward and evaluation cycles WHO YOU ARE - Fluent in applying agile flow metrics in order to help the team have a sustainable and healthy workflow - An Engineering Lead with a backend development background, aware of architecture and design principles - Experienced with microservices environments and related principles and patterns - Experienced with nonrelational and relational databases, i.e., Mongo, Cassandra, and SQLServer - Used to document your designs, plans and developments and base your communication with others on those assets - Used to be in an environment where you coordinate different teams and related topics to come up with a comprehensive view of the thing to build - Someone who likes to work in collaboration with others to get to the best solutions, open to critics in discussions towards the common goal - Experienced with people reporting and development processes - Fluent in English conversations, reading and writing.
